Soon it is time for Cadenza Night with Luciano!!

Line up:Luciano, Francisco Allendes, Carlos Valdes, Pete Bandit, Jason Shae

The highlight of the evening will of course be the five hour set of the Cadenza label's founder....Luciano!!

"From the artwork to the tracks, Tribute is certain to be a divisive statement by one of dance music's most inventive and globally-oriented composers, one that segues from the listless and stale to some of the more well-mannered, strikingly beautiful "dance" cuts you'll hear all year."

The music produced under the Cadenza label, has a lof of Latin influences and we are therefore looking forward to hearing a little more rythmic music for a change. Lets see what this night will bring....:)

Holland's very own: Secret Cinema!

The first time I heard Secret Cinema, I was blown away by his track selection and how he got the crowd going. I am proud that he is one of the Dutch very own. He spins on the big stages at festivals and is a popular choice in Japan. I predict that he will make it even bigger and better. His new release "Shake your Tech-Ass" hit the number one spot on the Techno Beatport charts. To preview the track, click here. To listen to his other new release "Jazz Me" click here.

What DJs say about his new releases:

Gregor Tresher - "Killer release and another Secret Cinema Dancefloor Monster!!!! Brilliant Stuff, goes straight into my September Top Ten."

Carl Cox - "Full support for both tracks - both are rocking!"

Pig & Dan - "Amazing as always Secret Cinema is the nuts. Propper madness!"

Amsterdam Dance Event!

Every year, around October, Amsterdam Dance Event is being organised. Every club in Amsterdam will have something special happening. "Artists & dj's, producers & managers, bookers & agencies, journalists and photographers, everybody's packing up their things as we speak. Preparing themselves for a journey, travelling from all corners of the world to be here at ADE. When they arrive on the airport, they shall be welcomed by an electronic ADE message. Once they wander through Amsterdam, they will see the ADE posters, spread around everywhere, on the corners of the streets, in the middle of a square. Not to forget the loads of flyers and magazines laying around in the local record shops and venues, ADE is all around us! Meanwhile we are still preparing the final last things to do, see you at the festival!" - ADE

It's going to be four days of absolute craziness!

Please visit the website Amsterdam Dance Event for further information.

A guy that continues to amaze us is.... Dubfire!!!

“I try to apply a punk ethic to my own music…it has to be groundbreaking, futuristic, unique and organic.”

Dubfire’s “jet-black, polished-chrome techno” is really something that makes our stomach lift. In 2006—after 15 ground-breaking years topping charts, winning Grammys, and earning acclaim as one-half of legendary electronic partnership Deep Dish—Dubfire returned to his roots: a diverse foundation spanning punk, industrial/new wave, jazz, dub, hip-hop, house and techno. "I Feel Speed," his first solo release, remade a classic Love and Rockets track with Dubfire himself on vocals. It marked a musical crossroads in his passage towards a deeper and darker sound. As Dubfire's productions delved into techno's moodier, sonically-edgier dimensions, critics and fans alike celebrated the new direction with admiration and enthusiasm.

Some tracks that you should defintily listen to are "Dios", a track he made with Oliver Huntemann, and "Rabid" to mention some.. But to get an entire impression about what this man is capable of, you should listen to one of his sets: http://mixing.dj/pages/index.php?id=6412

Federico Milani

Nobody really knows him yet. His tracks are played by some of the biggest names in the Minimal/Techno scene: Richie Hawtin, Umek, Dubfire.. He is 17 and someone to look out for. Let me introduce to you: FEDERICO MILANI!

Playlist:

1. Federico Milani - Hooker (Alex Di Stefano remix)
2. Federico Milani - Green (Alex Di Stefano remix)

Jon Gaiser

Being members of the Minus lable gives us a lot of privileges. One priviledge: receiving free tracks! Yesterday, Gaiser's album Pullpush was sent to us. Four well constructed tracks that will make everyone on the dancefloor move their feet..

1. Pullpush
2. Mfnstmp
3. Oolooloo

4. Semaphore

This is what Minus has to say about this album:

These four new cuts combine for over 30 minutes of pulsating peak time pressure and the title track Pullpush gets straight down to business without frills or fuss. The looping groove and tight elastic bass pattern set the scene for reflective reverbs and pitch bends to tease and tear at each new element. Film samples burst through the beats leaving trails and echoes before crystallising into more lucid phrases as the high-end tom pattern tops off a typically breathless workout. The squelchy FX that enhance the rhythm section then introduce a more pensive, frozen state during the lead-out as hollow, ghostly pads cradle back and forth across the stereo field.
